Job Title: General Teaching Assistant – KS2

Location: Market Weighton

Salary: £88.92 per day

Start date & End Date: 28th April – 18th July

Full Time – Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work in a primary school in Market Weighton on a fixed term contract until summer. This will be working across lower KS2 and will be working as a general teaching assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with their learning activities, both individually and in groups.

• Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Provide additional support to students with special educational needs.

• Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.

• Supervise students during breaks and extracurricular activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students' learning.

• Basic knowledge of educational practices and child development.

• Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
